Tallulah was not only a celebrity, an actress, singer and a progressive. She was an enigmatic trendsetter. A woman ahead of her time but elegantly of her own. Her eccentric energy wooed strangers and her love for quality gin and bourbon tramped that of her male peers at a time when it was accepted that a woman’s place was at the house or cowering next to her husband. Tallulah didn’t prescribe to that norm, and was, in fact, open about her wild parties, escapades and sexual exploits.
Our research into who Tallulah was led us to a deeper understanding of her legacy. We felt a deeper appreciation with her and her free-spirited attitude. Like us, she was a lover of animals and took in several curious breeds of dogs, birds and even had a pet lion named Winston Churchill. She surrounded herself with friends, family and great parties and, at the end of the day, don’t we all want to celebrate and surround ourselves with those we love?
